The Vancouver Autism Mom’s Support Group is hosting a potluck-style picnic at Marine Park and welcomes other families with autistic children. The picnic is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Southeast Marine Park and Columbia Way.

Melissa Dodge, who founded the support group, said it’s a chance for children with autism to “play together, make new friends and feel accepted.” The Autism Society of Oregon is renting a shelter at the park and a bounce house. There will be activities and raffle prizes.

The support group hosts twice-monthly meetings. For more information, contact Dodge at 360-901-0492 or melissad722@msn.com.
