Fairway-164th Avenue — Assistance League Southwest Washington hosted a spring tea on May 5 and raised $2,500 to help children in 23 local schools. The money will be used to purchase clothing, shoes and literacy supplies requested by school personnel for specific students. The event drew about 90 people, who shopped for plants and other items and enjoyed a meal catered by Tasting Tea and More, with tea donated by Gracefully Yours Fine Tea Company in Ridgefield.
