Brush Prairie — Prairie High School and Battle Ground High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets joined together on June 2 in a combined pass-in-review ceremony, a long-standing military tradition that started as a way for a newly assigned commander to inspect his or her troops.

Cadet Lt. Col. Heather Lee will take over as Prairie High School’s group commander for the 2018-2019 school year, replacing Cadet Col. Chris Flynn. Col. Keith Cunningham was also recognized for his five years of service to Prairie as the senior aerospace science instructor.
