The state Department of Revenue will host a free tax workshop for small-business owners May 16 in Vancouver.
Attendees will learn about excise taxes, deductions, sales tax collection and other record-keeping requirements. People will also get a workbook and reference guide.
The workshop is slated for 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Cascade Park Community Library, 600 N.E. 136th Ave., Vancouver.
