Eight-vehicle crash snarls traffic on I-205 in Vancouver

Police officers and firefighters have been dispatched to a multiple-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 205 near Southeast 10th Street.

The Washington State Department of Transportation reported the crash at 6:58 a.m. A tweet from the department says the left lane is blocked to traffic and would be for some time.

A total of eight vehicles were involved in the crash, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Responders requested Washington State Patrol to respond to the scene. There have been no reports of injuries.

Traffic maps quickly showed vehicles backing up to the Salmon Creek area.

Multiple vehicle collision on I-205 SB at milepost 28 near 10th Street Overpass has the left lane blocked beginning at 6:58 am on November 5, 2018 until further notice. Use caution in the area and move over for flashing lights.
