East Vancouver marijuana shop The Herbery has closed temporarily, the result of a state-imposed penalty following a routine sting operation earlier this year. The closure began Sunday and the store reopens 9 a.m. Nov. 14.
The Columbian first reported in February the store at 212 N.E. 164th Ave. was facing a month-long closure after selling a marijuana cigarette in January to a 19-year-old investigative aide from the state Liquor and Cannabis Board. Purchasers of marijuana must be at least 21 years old in Washington.
Two new restaurants have joined the lineup of businesses slated to open up shop at The Waterfront Vancouver development: Stack 571 Burger & Whiskey Bar and Pizzeria sul Lago, a wood-fired Neopolitan-style pizza restaurant. Both restaurants are scheduled to open in the spring of 2019.
The newcomers will join WildFin American Grill and Twigs Bistro, the first two restaurants at The Waterfront Vancouver development, both of which opened in late September.
RIDGEFIELD — A Union Pacific train collided with a tractor-trailer that was high-centered on railroad tracks near the Port of Ridgefield early Tuesday morning.
Clark County Fire and Rescue was dispatched about 8:15 a.m. to North Railroad Avenue and Mill Street for a report of an incident involving a train.
