Clark County — The Fort Vancouver chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution placed American flags on veterans’ graves at the Brush Prairie Cemetery and Crawford Cemetery in Battle Ground on Nov. 9. This is an annual event for the Fort Vancouver chapter. Members and their families also placed flags on veterans’ graves around Memorial Day earlier this year. Daughters of the American Revolution is a lineage-based membership service organization for women who directly descend from a person involved in the United States’ efforts toward independence.
