Prairie coach Hala Corral told her team at half time that everyone needs to buy in defense and stick to plan.

“Causing chaos” was the gameplan, Corral said, and the Falcons stuck to that in the second half as it held Union to a scoreless fourth quarter to coast to a double-digit win.

“The kids have played really, really good defense,” Corral said, ” it caused a lot of turnovers. We had them really frustrated.”

Brooke Walling led all scorers with 16 points and Cassidy Gardner pitched in 11 for the Falcons, who assisted on 16 of its 21 made field goals.

Union was 6 of 8 from the free-throw line and didn’t see a player in double-digits scoring.
