RS Medical co-founder Rick Terrell has submitted a preliminary application with the city of Vancouver to construct a 91,000-square-foot addition to the existing three-building RS Medical complex on Southeast First Street in east Vancouver. The addition would add 2 1/2 stories to RS Medical Building 3 and an 8,850-square-foot warehouse building next to RS Medical Building 2.

RS Medical is a Vancouver-based medical device company that specializes in treating painful muscle conditions through electrical nerve stimulation.

Most of the square footage from the proposed addition would become office space. The project would also add new parking along the south side of the properties of both buildings. The application refers to the addition as “Phase 2” of RS Medical Building 3.

The project is being designed by LBB Architecture. The proposed project timeline would see construction start in spring 2019 and wrap up in November 2019. A pre-application conference with the city is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Nov. 8.
