Robber hits Fisher’s Landing bank

Heritage Bank on 164th Avenue hit just before 2 p.m.

Update, 3:33 p.m.: An arrest has not been made yet, Vancouver Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said. The robber is described as a white male with a medium build wearing dark clothing.

No weapons were seen, and no one was injured, Kapp said. The robber fled southeast of the bank.

Original story: A robber who may have been armed with a knife hit the Fisher’s Landing branch of Heritage Bank just before 2 p.m. today, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

The robbery was reported at 1:54 p.m. at the bank branch, 16400 S.E. 18th St. The bandit was described as a man in his 40s, wearing blue jeans. He was last seen headed toward a nearby Black Rock coffee stand.

Vancouver police converged on the area and were searching surrounding neighborhoods.

There were no reports of any injuries.
