Girls basketball: Tumwater 60, Hockinson 45

Early turnovers — nine in the first quarter — plagued the Hawks against their District 4 rivals.

“That set us back,” Hawks coach Damon Roche said.

But the Hawks cut it to within eight at one stretch before the T-Birds pulled away. Tumwater led 26-12 at halftime.

Kylie Ritter led Hockinson with 17 points and five steald and Gracie Brammer had 13 points and five rebounds.

Abby Willette added seven rebounds with her three points.

JV — Tumwater won.
