Girls basketball: R.A. Long 61, Woodland 54

Payten Foster’s bucket with 2:30 to play in the fourth quarter erased a 12-point R.A. Long lead, but the Lumberjlls failed to allow a field goal the rest of the way to earn the 2A GSHL road victory.

Foster had a game-high 21 points and added 10 rebounds for the short-handed Beavers, who played without starting guard Audrey Adams and lost Kaija Olson (9 points) to an ankle injury. Foster’s bucket with 2:30 to play tied the game at 53-all.

Nicole Guthrie added 11 rebounds with her seven points.
