A bed and breakfast was destroyed in a fire early Sunday in Cowlitz County.

Emergency crews were called to a report of a structure fire just before 3 a.m. on the 6300 block of Willow Grove Road. First-arriving crews found the two-story house engulfed in flames and attacked the blaze from the exterior, according to a Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue news release.

The fire was under control after roughly one hour, according to the release. Six people vacated the building, and only a minor foot injury was reported.

The bed and breakfast is considered a total loss, according to the news release. The cause remains under investigation.

Three engines and three water tenders from Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue and the Longview Fire Department responded to the fire.
