Clark County Korean War vets continue fundraising for memorial

Northeast Hazel Dell — The Clark County chapter of the National Korean War Veterans Association Inc., the Richard L. Quatier Chapter, continued fundraising efforts to build a national wall of remembrance in Washington, D.C. The group recently received $10,000 from the Cowlitz Tribe, bringing their total up to $62,463, including $1,555.12 from students and families at St. Joseph Catholic School in Vancouver with their annual Penny Drive. Ed Barnes, a Korean veteran, is the leader of the local chapter’s effort to build a memorial.
