Letter: Herrera Beutler should speak up

Thank you, Calley Hair, for the informative piece “Herrera Beutler votes against condemnation of President Trump’s ‘racist’ tweets’” (The Columbian, July 16). It’s critical to know what our representatives are doing to fight racism in all forms. I would respectfully request the letter that Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, sent to Donald Trump be submitted to The Columbian and a copy of it be posted to her website.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
