Letter: Male-shaming is disgusting

As I read David C. Schroeder’s letter (“Abortion laws shameful, draconian,” June 12, The Columbian) I was fairly disgusted at his guilting of white men and enthusiastic praise of women. Talk about judging based on one’s sex. It’s almost as if he lost a bet to a female and had to write this.

If abortion were limited to cases when the life of the woman was in jeopardy most pro-lifers would be ecstatic because with medical advances that’s pretty much a nonissue; also, that would end a large part of all abortions. Where he got the idea that pro-life folk are against “healthy life of women, immigrants, Muslims, gays, people of color, felons and anyone who disagrees with what they believe” leads me to suspect he’s getting his info from a social media page. He speaks of “gender equality” … unless of course the gender is male. That must have been some bet.
