Vancouver’s only Whole Foods Market will close its doors in about two months. Employees told customers on Friday that the Whole Foods near 164th Ave and Mill Plain Blvd will shut down on or around Aug. 18, and will not be moving to a new location.
A store manager referred questions to the company’s media team, which later confirmed the closure in an email to the Columbian.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating what appears to be a homicide-suicide at an Amboy residence.
Deputies responded about 7 p.m. Saturday to 24707 N.E. 419th St., for a report of a possible homicide. Upon arrival, they found the bodies of two males; both appeared to have been fatally shot, according to a news release issued Sunday morning.

CAMAS — Dorothy Fox Elementary School kindergartner Aubrey Taylor was playing at recess Wednesday when she fell off the monkey bars, hitting her head and back.
Aubrey had a seizure after she fell. Paraeducator Don Holmes was one of the first staffers to rush to her aid while others called an ambulance and her parents. Her mother, Jen Taylor, was close enough to get to the school and ride in the ambulance with Aubrey.
