PORTLAND — A Gresham, Ore., man has been arrested on suspicion of 56 counts of first-degree sex abuse, records show.

Jason D. McConnell, 45, is accused of regularly sexually abusing a girl from the time she was 10 years old until she was 14, KATU (2) reports. She is now 23.

The woman isn’t McConnell’s relative, according to the news station.

McConnell was already facing nine counts of second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse, court records show. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in July, and the case remains open.

McConnell is being held in the Multnomah County Detention Center. He was booked early Wednesday.
