East Vancouver — Union High School student Rory McDonald served as a page recently in the Washington State House of Representatives. He was sponsored by state Rep. Monica Stonier, D-Vancouver. Pages assume a wide variety of responsibilities, from presenting the flags to distributing amendments on the House floor. Pages also receive daily civics instruction, drafting their own bills and participating in mock committee hearings.
