Parr Lumber Co. acquires Trus-Way facilities in state

Hillsboro, Ore.-based Parr Lumber Co. announced Friday it had signed an agreement with Trus-Way Inc. of Vancouver and Trus-Way Tri-Cities Inc. for the acquisition of their manufacturing facilities in Washington.

Trus-Way was established in 1992 by Mark S. Turner, Ken Carty and Mark Smith. It has manufacturing facilities in Vancouver and Sunnyside, serving contractors and DIY customers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Northern California.

Parr Lumber Co. was founded in 1930 in the Portland area by Dwight Parr Sr. and remains a locally owned family business. Michael Parr, Brad Farmer, and Nancy Cranston, grandchildren of the founder, play active roles in the company.

Parr operates 34 facilities in Oregon and Washington including pro and retail building supply yards, cabinet design centers, manufacturing plants and a wholesale hardware distribution subsidiary providing building solutions and services throughout Oregon, Washington and beyond.
