Firefighters battle house fire in Vancouver’s South Cliff neighborhood

Firefighters on Tuesday evening battled a house fire at 710 Rhododendron Drive.

At about 10:43 p.m., crews responded to the fire that potentially started in the basement and burned through the first floor, according to Vancouver Fire Department crew members speaking over radio traffic monitored by The Columbian. The fire originated from somewhere near the back of the house.

It’s unknown if anyone was injured from the fire.

Crews had the fire under control by about 11:11 p.m.
