A developer submitted a preliminary application for a retail center with a gas station and convenience store on a 1-acre site at 14516 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., at the corner of Mill Plain Boulevard and Southeast Hearthwood Boulevard.

The proposed development would feature a 4,100-square-foot convenience store and four gas pumps, along with a 2,400-square-foot general retail building. The plan would also reserve a 900-square-foot portion of the site for a cell tower. The project would have 28 parking spaces, and the convenience store would operate 24 hours a day.

The preliminary application was submitted Nov. 4 by Tiland/Schmidt Architects on behalf of MAJ Development. A pre-application conference with the city is scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 5.
