BATTLE GROUND — Glenwood Heights Primary School received an uplift recently when volunteers from the Glenwood Cubbies parent teachers organization worked to landscape, assemble playground equipment and paint for a beautification project. The parents painted flowers in front of the school, provided more recess equipment such as balls, hula hoops, basketballs and more. The playground was power washed and new games painted. “The idea of a school beautification is a way to engage and connect parents with the school at the same time to collectively do some work around the school,” said Glenwood Heights Principal Antonio Lopez. “It was amazing to see the kids on Monday morning being so surprised and happy to see the playground.”
