Senior quarterback Luke Pitzer and junior running back Elijah Volk propelled the Seton Cougars to their first 3-0 start in program history.

Pitzer completed 7 of 8 passes for 83 yards and one touchdown. Meanwhile, Volk rushed for 127 yards on 12 carries, scoring two touchdowns.

“This win just means everything to us,” Pitzer said. “We’re the hardest workers. We grind. We just keep going. We stand by eachother.”

Volk added: “This feels pretty great. This team has faced a lot of adversity. A ton of injuries. Everyone stepped up.”

Niko Liufau of Fort Vancouver rushed for 149 yards and 20 carries. The junior also claimed one of Fort Vancouver’s rushing touchdowns.

Fort Vancouver kept in the game. But a big defensive stop on fourth-and-goal sealed the win for Seton.
