Evergreen Public Schools wins share of federal grant

Evergreen Public Schools is one of 10 districts statewide to take part in a $20 million GEAR UP One Vision Partnership grant, aimed at providing sixth-grade students with college readiness resources, mentorship, advising, and professional development and tutoring. EPS’ portion of the grant focuses on sixth-graders attending Cascade, Covington, and Wy’east middle schools.

The federally funded grant program is administered by Washington State University Tri-Cities.
