Gracie Brammer had 23 points and five assists and Kylie Ritter added 13 points and 10 rebounds as Hockinson clinched a district playoff berth.

The Hawks will be the No. 5 seed to the district tournament and will play at Rochester on Wednesday for a berth into the double-elimination bracket.

Lillie Mueller had nine rebounds and three blocks, leaving her one block shy of Hockinson’s all-time single-season record.

Addie Chappelle sparked the Hawks on defense.

Payten Foster had 15 to lead Woodland. She scored her 1,000th career point in the fourth quarter

The game featured a show of sportsmanship to start.

Hockinson senior Jasmine Shigeno, who missed the season with a knee injury, got the start for the Hawks.

Woodland allowed Shigeno to score an uncontested layup to start the game. Hockinson then allowed the Beavers to score a layup before turning the ball back over to Woodland, and Shigeno was subbed out.

“So a big thank goes out to (Woodland coach) Glen Flanagan and the rest of the Woodland team,” Hockinson coach Damon Roche said.
