Girls basketball: Hockinson 59, Woodland 44

Gracie Brammer scored 23 points and led a first-quarter charge for the Hawks, who stayed alive in the 2A district tournament.

Brammer made four 3-pointers in the first quarter as Hockinson outscored Woodland 21-6. She had seven of Hockinson’s 10 3-pointers.

“She has the green light to shoot whenever she wants,” Hawks coach Damon Roche said.

Ellie Ritter had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kylie Ritter added 10 points.

Hockinson (13-10) will face Black Hills or Tumwater in another loser-out game on Wednesday.

Payten Foster scored 13 points and Nicole Guthrie added 11 for Woodland (13-9).
