Opening exhibit
“Emerging,” through Jan. 24, with an artists’ reception from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on First Friday, Jan. 3. Union Chapel Creatives Collaborative and Union Chapel Gallery opens another in a series of community art exhibitions featuring artists from the local community, including Virginia Barber, Sylvia Danielson, William C. Ferguson, Lori McDonald, Tracy Spohn and Dieter Zander. “Narratives & Metaphors” through Feb. 1, with a recpetion from 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 3 offering wine, refreshments, live jazz guitar by John Stowel and a chance to meet the artist. This exhibit features the works of David Carmack Lewis, a muralist whose art explores imagery of the American West through a lens of magic realism to tell both true stories and tall tales.
