Letter: Support of abortion greatest evil

By David Alton Johnson, Vancouver
Published: January 16, 2020, 6:00am

In response to Eugene Robinson’s column “Don’t close eyes to immorality,” I say this: How can any evangelical support the Democratic Party at any level of power, when the Democratic Party platform calls for support of abortion rights at any and all stages of pregnancy, not to mention taxpayer funding of abortion? Any educated evangelical who knows anything about abortion and the Bible ought to know that the immorality of abortion cannot be denied. If it’s a matter of the lesser of two evils, the evil of abortion far outweighs anything President Trump has done or will do in the future.
