Girls basketball: Woodland 71, Hockinson 52

Nicole Guthrie had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Payten Foster scored 17 of her game-high 21 points in the second half as the Beavers pulled away for the 2A Greater St. Helens League win over visiting Hockinson.

Kelly Sweyer had a solid all-round game with 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Woodland. Lucy George added 11 points and a solid defensive effort.

Kylie Ritter led the Hawks in scoring with 16 points, while Ellie ritter and Lillie Mueller each scored 10.
