Motorcyclist dies in Orchards crash

A 23-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash around midnight Friday in Orchards, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a 911 call about a collision at the intersection of Northeast 99th Street and Northeast 137th Avenue, where they found a motorcycle and its rider on fire. Despite efforts by first responders, Kevin Taylor of Woodland was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

Witnesses said the motorcycle was traveling fast on Northeast 137th Avenue, which ends at 99th Street. The motorcycle continued off the paved roadway and collided with a large piece of concrete, according to the sheriff’s office.
