Eagle Scouts

Six Boy Scouts from the Columbia River District passed their Eagle Scout Board of Review during February and advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout.

Troop 14

Joshua Brody Parkes, a junior at Columbia River High School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in building raised garden beds for Sacajawea Elementary School, with 135 volunteer hours. Parkes, 16 is the son of Julie and Todd Parkes.

Troop 320

Julian Alexander Rivera, an eighth-grader at Gaiser Middle School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in building shot put ranges at Gaiser Middle School, with 164 volunteer hours. Rivera, 14, is the son of Crystal and Juan Rivera.

Troop 344

Noah Heine Withee, a senior at Battle Ground High School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in building benches for Royal Ridges Retreat, Yacolt, with 74 volunteer hours. Withee, 18, is the son of Jennifer and Robert Withee.

Troop 371

David William Josephson, an eighth-grader at Chief Umtuch Middle School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in building bleachers at Lewisville Regional Park, Battle Ground, with 65 volunteer hours. Josephson, 14, is the son of Susie and Don Josephson.

Troop 424

Christopher Michael Biermann, a senior at Camas High School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in refurbishing a flag pole at Forest Home Park, Camas, with 58 volunteer hours. Biermann, 18, is the son of Dr. Kerry Biermann and Dr. Tamme Davis.

Troop 554

Andrew Michael Ellson, a senior at Heritage High School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in organizing and performing a magic show for the deaf community, with 299 volunteer hours. Ellson, 18, is the son of Nickolas and Theresa Ellson.
