Letter: Help keep all of us safe

By Michael Spence, Vancouver

The understandable desire to get back to normal still doesn’t justify right-of-center politicos (Quiring, Medvigy, Kraft, etc.) to jeopardize the health of the rest of us. Yes, some areas in the county have fewer residents and fewer risks. No, they’re not isolated from the rest of us. Imagine this: a public swimming pool in which one area, off in the corner, is designated OK for urination (naturally, it’s mostly little boys). Folks, it still affects the rest of the swimmers. Whether it’s north Clark County in this state or Georgia in the United States, it’s still peeing in the pool. Stop it.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
