The Clark County Elections office reported an additional 18,898 returned ballots Thursday, bringing voter turnout near 30 percent ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.

With 12 days to go before the election and less than a week since the county mailed ballots to voters, 95,091 Clark County residents have already voted.

A total of 320,108 people in Clark County are registered to vote, including about 4,000 new registrations since ballots were mailed Friday.

The county reported, by comparison, a total of 49,222 ballots 12 days ahead of the 2016 general election, about 18 percent of registered voters. In that election, 272,698 people were registered to vote.

The county Auditor’s Office has predicted a historic voter turnout — around 90 percent — for the upcoming election.

Eligible Clark County residents can register to vote online or via mail until Monday. In-person registration at the elections office is available until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
