PORTLAND — More than 30 shots were fired early Wednesday in Northeast Portland’s Cully neighborhood, and an occupied apartment was hit by gunfire.

Portland police said they initially responded to the 5000 block of Northeast Killingsworth Street shortly after 3 a.m. on reports of shots fired. Officers found five shell casings but no victims.

Another 911 caller reported about an hour later that several more shots had been fired at the same spot, police said.

Officers returned and found an occupied apartment had been hit, according to police. They also found 28 more shell casings, police said.

They didn’t find any victims. No arrests have been announced.

Police ask anyone who has information and hasn’t yet been contacted by investigators to call 503-823-3333.
