Vancouver Parks and Recreation on Monday will launch a new free after-school program serving children ages 6 through 12.

The program will operate from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and is available at both Firstenburg Community Center, 700 N.E. 136th Ave., and Marshall Community Center, 1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd.

Registration is first-come, first-serve, and will be available on a weekly basis. Children outside of the city can also register.

Space is limited and the department is taking precautions to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
