Letter: Kent is wrong for Washington

Joe Kent is wrong for Southwest Washington in so many ways.

He believes and is continuing to spread the “Big Lie” conspiracy theory that the 2020 election was stolen from Republicans, even though more than 60 lawsuits presented by the Trump administration challenging the election results were dismissed.

He is proud to be endorsed by several questionable characters, including Matt Gaetz (under investigation by the FBI for sex trafficking), Michael Flynn (pleaded guilty to a felony for lying to the FBI), and the twice-impeached former president.

He opposes any sort of protections that guard against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic (masking, vaccines, etc.), but offers no solutions of his own.

He has labeled the man who drove through a crowd in Waukesha a “domestic terrorist,” but has nothing but praise for Kyle Rittenhouse and the mob who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6.

He is also a fan of, among others, antisemitic conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylor Greene and Proud Boys supporter and conspiracy theorist Paul Gosar.

Don’t be taken in by those big red and white signs showing up around Clark County. His so-called “America First” agenda is not right for the people of Washington’s 3rd District.
