I, the independent party of me, censure the national Republican party and Clark County Republican Party for dereliction of duty; sycophantic groveling at the feet of the Republican emperor, Donald Trump; cowardice when called to defend our Constitution; and providing a political platform for white supremacy.
While pondering the massive constitutionally corrosive actions of this party, I had an epiphany. MAGA is a code for Make America White Again. This historical irony is beyond comprehension to me. The Republican Party has proven to be a historic disgrace. And, isn’t it amazingly ironic that the minority vote drove a stake through the heart of their machinations. I commend the patriotic leadership of the moderates of the Republican Party. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, earns my highest praise and my continued vote.
Finally, I further propose that the true patriots of the Republican Party, Herrera Beutler, Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, etc., join with Democratic moderates to form a new Moderate Party to Make America Sane Again and restore unity, economic equality and stability to all Americans. Thank you to Rep. Herrera Beutler, Senator Patty Murray, the House Management Team, and the moderate Republican leaders.
