Week 3 high school football player of the week: Xavier Owens, Skyview

Owens beats out Wyatt Partridge for honor

Skyview’s Xavier Owens is the Week 3 high school football player of the week.

Owens received 518 of the 1,275 votes cast this week to win the honor.

Owens caught two touchdown passes and returned two punts of 40+ yards in a win over Prairie.

Winners of the player-of-the-week may not be nominated again this season.

The other nominees were:

  • JAKE BOWEN, UNION: Bowen caught two touchdown passes and intercepted two passes in a win over Mountain View.
  • JJ FUERST, WOODLAND: Fuerst rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns and returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown in a win over R.A. Long.
  • CONNER NOAH, KELSO: Noah rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns and returned an interception for a score in a win over Battle Ground.
  • WYATT PARTRIDGE, CASTLE ROCK: Partridge rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass in a win over Columbia-White Salmon.
