Kelso’s Liz Dolan will take a one-shot lead over Mountain View’s Annika Yeh into the final round of the 3A district girls golf tournament at Lewis River.
Dolan shot a 2-over 74 on Wednesday, one better than Yeh’s 75. Mountain View’s Kaila Bonawitz was in third at 86.
Union sophomore Jade Gruher holds a six-shot lead in the 4A tournament, also at Lewis River, after shooting a 76. Jacinda Lee led a quintet of Camas golfers in the next five spots with an 82.
A near no-hitter
One night after two pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter for Skyview, the Storm had seven pitchers nearly combine for another no-hitter on Wednesday.
Mikey Miller, Cody Blackhurst, Tyler Davis, Jake Kennedy, Brady Davis, Josh Kophs, Seth Minor kept Camas hitless until the Papermakers got a single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh.
Skyview won 5-0.

- McKenzie Sparano, Skyview girls bowling, posted a 573 series at Crosley Lanes with games of 202, 235, 136 in a win over Mountain View.
- Candice Adams, Battle Ground softball, went 2 for 4 with a two-run double and solo home run in the Tigers’ 7-3 win over Union.
- Dylan Osborne, Union baseball, went 4 for 4 with three runs and a double in a 7-5 win over Battle Ground.
- Rileigh Chinn, Columbia River bowling, had 588 series (156-199-233) in a win over Mark Morris.
- Brady Trombello, Prairie baseball, goes 2 for 3 with three runs, two homers and five RBI in a 15-5 win over Kelso.
- Abi Ayala-Cordova, Skyview softball, went 4 for 4 with two runs, a home run and three RBI as the Storm beat Camas 15-8.
- Jaden Rippelmeyer, Mountain View baseball, went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI in an 8-0 win over Evergreen.
- Hakim Nizam and Isaiah Bunda, Union boys soccer, each had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Mountain View.
- Ashton Ferguson, Prairie boys soccer, had two goals in a 3-1 win over Battle Ground.
- Lexi Grumbois, Kelso softball, went 3 for 4 with three runs, a double, home run and two RBI as Kelso beat Prairie 6-5 with a run in the bottom of the seventh.
