Letter: Enough is enough in Portland

By Ellen Sanford, Vancouver
Published: May 30, 2021, 6:00am

Businesses in downtown Portland have continued to take a beating for over a year. Personally we do not go into downtown and will not for the near future.

My question is, why don’t these businesses sue the city and state for lack of support? I am sure they pay their taxes. Does that not matter or count anymore?

I suggest they consider moving to another city more supportive of local business. How about Vancouver, Beaverton, etc.? How much do you have to put up with or lose?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
