Some Clark County voters were sent incorrect ballots

General election ballots just went out Friday, but some Clark County voters received the wrong ones.

The Clark County Elections Office announced Monday that 2,120 voters in precincts 625 and 930 had accidentally been sent incorrect ballots.

Precinct 625 is north of Camas and is in the 18th Legislative District. Precinct 930 is northeast of Camas and is in the 14th Legislative District.

New ballots and a letter of explanation will be sent. If any incorrect ballots have already been filled out and sent back to the Elections Office, they will be held to give voters a chance to fill out and return the correct ballots.

In a press release, Auditor Greg Kimsey said the office has taken steps to reduce the chance of a similar mistake happening again. He apologized for any confusion or inconvenience the error caused.

Voters with concerns or questions about ballots or other election-related issues can call the Elections Office at 564-397-2345 or send email to elections@clark.wa.gov.
