Cepeda scores three touchdowns as La Center routs Cascade Christian 43-10

Darren Cepeda ran for three touchdowns to lead La Center to a 43-10 season-opening win over Cascade Christian on Saturday night in Sumner.

Cepeda, in his first start for the Wildcats at quarter, had two touchdown runs in the first half and Jalen Ward added another as the Wildcats built a 22-2 halftime lead.

Cepeda added a 46-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that put La Center up 29-2.

After Cascade Christian scored a touchdown, Levi Giles returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown to put La Center up 36-10.

Garrett Maunu’s one-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter capped the scoring. The score was set up by Ward’s 80-yard return of an interception.
