ORCHARDS — A family displayed the colors at half staff at their home’s flagpole recently following the Aug. 24 death of longtime Scouting volunteer leader Greg Hamilton. He was 65.

Hamilton had been involved with Scouting off and on for 35 years, serving with Cub Scout Pack 134 and as a scoutmaster with Troop 97 in Northern California before moving to Vancouver 24 years ago. He most recently volunteered as a den leader for Cub Scout Pack 306 in Vancouver, according to his wife of 44 years, Sherri Hamilton.
