Letter: Letter is off target

Good ol’ Roy Schimelpfenig, love reading his letters in The Columbian (“Our feeble president,” Our Readers’ Views, Sept. 12). While Biden wasn’t my first choice for president, I was not going to vote for Trump again, as I did for his first term. I consider him an ignorant liar.

I don’t know Mr. Schimelpfenig’s history of military service, but I did two tours in Southeast Asia in the ’60s, flying an ancient airplane, a Korean-era Douglas Skyraider from the Ticonderoga (CVA-14). So I do love this country and did my duty when called.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
