Two men were arrested Sunday after one shot the other in the leg following a domestic violence assault of a woman at a home in Brush Prairie, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Scott E. Green, 29, was jailed on suspicion of assault with a firearm, and John R. Little III, 47, was jailed on suspicion of domestic violence assault after being treated for a gunshot wound, according to a sheriff’s office statement.

Deputies responding to a 7:35 p.m. 911 call of someone being shot in the leg at 13725 N.E. 72nd Ave., found that the person who had been shot had left the residence. Patrol deputies stopped the vehicle a short distance away and discovered its occupants had been involved in the shooting incident, the statement said.

An investigation by the sheriff’s office Major Crimes Unit determined that Green had shot Little during a domestic violence incident with a female victim, according to the statement. The domestic violence victim was not struck by gunfire but was injured in the assault.

The statement said there is no danger to the public and no outstanding subjects in the case.

Green appeared Monday in Clark County Superior Court, accused of first-degree assault. A judge set his bail at $100,000, and he is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 1.

Little pleaded not guilty Monday to fourth-degree domestic violence assault in Clark County District Court.
