A fatal crash Wednesday morning on state Highway 14 near Washougal River Road closed the eastbound lanes and roundabout for about four hours.
The two-vehicle crash, at Milepost 16, was reported around 9:45 a.m., emergency dispatch records show.
One driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other driver was taken to a hospital with injuries, Washington State Patrol Trooper Will Finn tweeted.
Traffic was detoured from Union Street through town during the road closure.
The eastbound lanes and roundabout reopened around 1:45 p.m., according to the Washington Department of Transportation.
