Letter: Trump should be front-page news

The March 29 article “Finding Neptune” on the Neptune and the students at Wy’east school was great, and could have been the entire first page of the Clark County section. The major story that should have been above the fold on the front page was buried on page 3 (“Judge: Trump likely carried out election-related crimes.”)

Our democracy and position as leader of the free world is in jeopardy. Vladimir Putin is attempting to take over Ukraine; Donald Trump and his ilk did no less here in America. The ramifications of what could have transpired on Jan. 6 must remain front-page news. If the situation had turned out differently, the free press might not have survived and I couldn’t write this letter. Our way of life depends on both.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
