The Washington State Department of Commerce awarded two grants to Clark County programs aiming to support affordable housing.

The city of Battle Ground received $1,335,605 for its Weaver Creek Commons project of 80 affordable units with an accessible creek-side trail. The city of Vancouver also received $345,900 for its Fourth Plain Commons project with 106 affordable units in a mixed-use development.

The grants were part of a $17.5 million distribution to 26 projects in Washington to help about 2,100 affordable housing units.
