Two Vancouver residents were injured Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Lewis County.

A 2015 Volkswagen Passat was traveling south at about 1 p.m. on state Highway 7 near Milepost 13, west of Mineral, when the wheels left the roadway. When the driver over-corrected, the Passat crashed at the junction of Forest Road 74, according to a Washington State Patrol crash memo.

Both the driver, identified as Caroline M. Newport, 73, and passenger, a 15-year-old girl, were injured and taken to Morton General Hospital, the crash memo states. Both were wearing their seat belts.
